White Sun - Maitreya Buddha

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

By Teow Aun Chew The name Mi-Le Buddha first appeared over 2,000 years ago in India. The Guide to the Gospels of Mi-Le Buddha records how Mi-Le Buddha became enlightened since his coming to the world. Since his first coming to the world and vowing to become a Buddha in the Pure Land, ten cycles of Heaven and Earth have elapsed. In this tenth Cycle, the seed he sowed sprouted and the fruit ripened, and its time for him to harvest it. When he reveals his true identity, the world will become a Pure Land. In the Red Yang Period (2,500 years ago) in this Cycle, Sakyamuni Buddha descended to Earth from Tusati Heaven and was born in Northern India. Mi-Le Buddha followed him and was born in Southern India. After Sakyamuni Buddha was enlightened, Mi-Le Buddha traveled from Southern India to Northern India to follow Sakyamuni Buddha in Sravasti. When Sakyamuni Buddha initiated Mi-Le Buddha into the monastery, he stated that Maitreya Bodhisattva had already attained Tao and that he would enter Nirvana twelve years later, and then lecture in Tusati Heaven. Anyone who wanted to be a follower of Mi-Le Buddha must follow the Five Disciplines (not to kill, not to steal, not to be lustful, not to tell lies and not to drink), do the Ten Goodwill Measures (not to have greed, rage, and infatuation, not to sow discord, not to flatter, not to talk in abusive tongue, not to speak recklessly, not to kill, not to steal, and not to be lustful), and chant the name of Mi-Le Buddha. After fifty-six billion years the followers would follow Mi-Le Buddha descending to Earth, listen to sermons in the Long-hua Assemblies, (Long implies the True Self. Hua implies the life. Long-hua Assemblies means that everyone has his True Self and life combines together and meets in Heaven), and become enlightened. However, Mi-Le Buddha has left traces of his descending in the world many times, but the mortals couldnt recognize him. In South-North of China, Mi-Le Buddha descended as Fu Da-shi. In Tang Dynasty, he descended as the Monk with Cloth Bag (or the Laughing Buddha). Presently, all statues of Mi-Le Buddha in China are in the form of the Monk with Cloth Bag, which unveils his chest and abdomen. When the Monk with Cloth Bag was about to leave the world, he sat on the east side of the temple and said, Mi-Le is the real Mi-Le. Mi-Le has innumerous images. His appearance is shown to people constantly, except that people cannot recognize it. Therefore, the number of fifty-six billion is only a symbol. Both the Bible and Koran prophesy the end of the world and the coming of a world savior. The Doctrine of the Mean states When the Saint descends one hundred generations later, there will be no doubt to the Truth. One generation is about 30 years and in the teachings of Tao of Heaven, Mi-Le Buddha already came as the 63rd Patriarch and his Heavenly title is Ching Kong Chu Tzu. He is the savior of the White Period (now) where the world is coming to an end by the destruction of the Last Catastrophe of the Third Period. This destruction will be by the water, fire and killer wind called Gang Feng. The Bible describes as The Final Judgement. My Heavenly Teacher JiGong said, “Man is destroying and killing numerous sentient beings in every aspect. How can such behavior not make God (Lao Mu) in wrath and descend the merciless doom (disasters and catastrophes). After many years, the guilt accumulates and Man becomes ghosts and ghosts become Man. The enmity and resentment from every injustice must be repaid whether one is dead or alive.” T.A Chew was told in year 1994 that in twelve years time (2006), Maitreya Buddha has a great mission for him to do. Not knowing what the nature of the mission, it is now clear that the mission is to propagate the teachings of Tao of Heaven, because Maitreya Buddha is the Buddha in charge of the Heavenly Court to save righteous souls back to Heaven. Best Fly Fishing Lakes in BC - Roche Lake

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

By Dave Ouellette Roche Lake is one of many high profile flyfishing lakes in BC that consistently produces for all anglers. You can enjoy your fly fishing vacation at the provincial park campsites (2), any of the rustic campsites at the surrounding lakes or spoil yourself at the fabulous Roche Lake Resort. Fishing for rainbow trout is the only fishing available on the lake. Roche was cleared of coarse fish a number of years ago (30+) and is stocked only with rainbow trout. This lake is not a designated fly fishing only lake so you can expect to share the water with trollers and spincasters. There are a few restrictions for fishing on the lake and I would suggest that you consult your British Columbia Freshwater Fishing Regulations before venturing onto the water. The lake is located approximately 16 kms from the main turn off of Hwy 5A, 35 kms south of Kamloops. Access is along a maintained but busy gravel road where even your car will suffice. The main road leads through the main Roche Lake Provincial Park onto the Roche Lake Resort where it ends. Roche Lake West, the other provincial campground is accessed via the Horseshoe Lake turnoff, just before you reach Rose and Tulip Lake. This road is very bumpy but an holes have a hard bottom. Stay left on this road when you come upon the Horseshoe Lake turnoff (almost immediately when you make you initial right turn off the Roche Lake Rd)and follow it to the end. This is my favorite put-in at the lake as it gives easy access to 5 Pound Bay, the south end islands and the south-east island area. This south end has wonderful shoals that are particularly productive in the fall especially dragging a chironomid or dragon through the marl, stirring up bottom to attract feeding trout. Roche Lake is the largest lake in a group of 10 trout lakes in the area. With an area of 134ha, it sits at an approximate elevation of 1135m (3723ft). It is best navigated in a small boat and motor but a pontoon or belly boat will get you into some prime areas especially if you access from Roche Lake West. Check out this area map (and print it if you like) to give you an understanding of the area. Approximate Size and Elevation: Roche is the largest lake in the group at 134ha and sits at an approximate elevation of 1135m (3723ft). It is best navigated in a small boat and motor but a pontoon or belly boat will get you into some prime areas especially if you access from Roche Lake West.Recommended Flies and Lines: Roche has prolific chironimid and mayfly hatches early in the season (after May 1st - opening day) which are best fished on floating lines with or without a strike indicator. I make sure that my chironimids are weighted so that they can get me to the desired depth as soon as possible. Also try a bloodworm, micro-leech or damsel nymph fished the same way. I prefer not using a strike indicator with the micro-leech or damsel nymph. Wet line fishermen do well with a big black/brown/green leech or a dragon fly nymph fished parallel to the weedbeds or shoal dropoffs. Try casting or trolling and vary the retrieve or speed of your boat. Early June to mid-July can bring on moderate sedge hatches that the rainbows will take eagarly in the mornings and evenings. The heat of the summer can slow fishing down. Go deep except late in the evening (even when it’s dark) when you can stalk large rainbows that come in to the marl shallows to feed for migrating dragons, damsels and caddis nymph. A small (#12) weighted black spratley fished along the shoal on a dry line can be deadly. The fall can bring a mass of activity where many flies and lines can be used. The Roche Lake Area lakes usually host a tremendous ‘waterboatman’ flight anywhere from late August to early October where the fish feed in a frenzy. Chironimids (all sizes but mostly tiny - #14-#18), dragons, leeches and snail patterns can be productive. Special Notes: Roche gets very busy so I tend to visit the other lakes in the area. Most of my fishing on this lake has been on the southern half of the lake accessed via Roche Lake West. The bay where you launch seems to produce well with a leech. If you continue south to the next bay on your right (west) you will find what I call ‘5lb Bay’. It has marl shoals, bullrush, sub-surface weedbeds and a consistent bottom depth of about 12′-16′. Diagonally across from the Roche Lake West campground is the island(s) where big fish can be found year round. There are some restrictions in this area and we recommend that you check your provincial fishing regulations. The far south end of the lake tapers into a marl shoal and seems particularly productive in the fall using a gomphus dragon that you can drag along the bottom. There are similar areas in the north half of the lake where you can try all the same strategies. Dave Ouellette was an Engineering Tech for Ducks Unlimited Canada for 11 years. While constructing over 200 wetland segement in the Southern Interior of BC, Dave managed to fish almost as many lakes and streams in his travels. As an avid fly fisherman, Dave spends most of his ice free seasons devoting intense research and development days to the rainbow trout lakes in the southern interior of British Columbia. See more of Dave’s information at http://www.best-in-british-columbia.com/rochelakearea.html And here’s a link to the provincial park information that you may need. Make Money Doing Nothing

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

By Michael Voss Work at home opportunities do not get much simpler than this. How about starting a business that runs itself? If you want to know a way to make money doing nothing, there is a website that can get you set up by teaching you how. It involves hooking up with a company that pays you to refer them customers. This is easy because the product they sell is something that everyone needs to buy, month after month. Things like salon quality shampoo and conditioners, mouthwash, shaving needs, shower gel, laundry detergent, dish soap, surface scrub, heath products, daily vitamins, allergy relief, Ibuprofen, weight loss product, energy bars and womens cosmetics. The manufacturer of these products sells them significantly less than traditional chain retail or grocery stores, making them easy to sell. And you dont have to buy them to sell them, you just need to refer customers to the company. As if offering these products cheaper is not enough, the manufacturer also makes these products more appealing by making them toxin free. Mainstream soap and cleanser manufacturers like Proctor & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson use hazardous carcinogens as preservatives in their products. That is why if you read the fine print of many abrasive cleansers (even Cascade dishwasher detergent) you can see things printed on their containers such as IRRITANT: May irritate eyes or skin, or Do not get on skin or clothing. No wonder this stuff dissolves food from your dishes, it is a mild poison! I personally do not care to bring hazardous, cancer causing agents into my home, I have a family whom I love. I want to live a long healthy life, and observe my family doing the same. That is why I am a loyal customer of this company, which can provide a safe, healthy alternative that is just as effective, for LESS MONEY AS WELL. Dish detergent is not the only thing you can save money on either. This company offers healthier and more affordable alternatives of all the above mentioned items (hygiene, home cleaning and medicine) than your local retail or grocer. You can obtain more information about this fantastic product and a means to make money referring others to it by visiting www.bathe4less.com. Think Before You Buy A Secondhand Wedding Dress

Friday, August 24th, 2007

By Nicola Ray There are hundreds of secondhand and used wedding dresses available these days which makes finding a bargain for your cheap wedding easy. Many brides these days choose to sell their wedding dress after their big day, and why not, when its only going to be catching dust in a box on top of the wardrobe. Second-hand or used wedding dresses are easy to find from charity shops, online auctions, dress agencies and online bridal stores. Theyre also one of the best ways to pick up a cheap designer number. But before parting with your cash, make sure you think about: Brides have a good time All brides are carefree on their wedding day. They relax, have a good time and often dont care whether their dress gets dirty; after all, theyre not going to wear it again. If youre buying a secondhand wedding dress, check the dress carefully for stains. Food, wine, watermarks and general dirt from the floor are the usual culprits. This is particularly true for long trains and full skirts, as they drag along the floor all day. If youre buying blind (i.e. from the internet), ask as many questions as possible from the vendor to establish the condition of the dress. Are you able to clean the dress? Do you mind having a few marks on the dress? Can you disguise them with extra beading or other embellishments? Be careful with the sizing Most wedding dresses have been altered to fit the previous owner perfectly. Perhaps they were a size 14 on the bum and a size 12 on top, or maybe the other way around. Ask the owner if they had alterations made and determine what size the dress really is. If youre not sure, buy a dress size bigger and alter it to fit you perfectly. It will make you and the dress look a million dollars. Try before you buy There are two very important reasons for this. First, seeing a dress on is very different to seeing it on the hanger. You may be surprised what suits you. Secondly, as I mentioned before, most brides get their dress altered to fit them perfectly. The dress they bought was a 14, but got it altered, so in fact its a 12/14. Trying will allow you know if you get can alter it further. You buy as seen When buying used wedding dresses, its important to check all the above points, because once youve paid your money, youre unlikely to get a refund if its not right. So, check for stains, ask the seller lots of questions, try before you buy and go a size bigger so you can make your own alterations. Follow these tips and you should grab yourself a beautiful bargain wedding dress! Happy hunting! Mall Information Now On Customers’ Phones

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Stuart_Hely]Stuart Hely An obvious way to help customers decide where to shop is to let them know what is available, not just after they have arrived at the shopping centre but before they have even decided where to shop. Customers can now access this information on the screen of their mobile phones - and just about every shopper has a mobile phone. A new mobile phone application puts shop specials, a centre directory, details of whats happening and coming up in the centre, marketing updates plus other information, even the ability to provide email feedback straight from the customers phone to Centre Management onto just about any mobile phone screen. Customers dont even have to be in the centre at the time. Information is easily controlled and updated by Centre Management. Shoppers can be at home or on the bus or sipping coffee somewhere and can check out the shops specials or see whats coming up in their favourite centre. Customers only receive what they request and it is easy to set up and use. It operates on the normal mobile phone network and does not use SMS or Bluetooth. It is the perfect complement to a centres website and is the ideal link to customers for those centres who dont have a website. It all happens without customers being bombarded with ads and without the centre having to install wireless systems. There is no cost to the user (unless centres choose to do so) apart from any carrier charges. There are more than 2 billion mobile phones in the world today and, when you think about it, every one of those was bought by and is being used by a shopper! With customers service expectations increasing, one of the most common customer complaints is the difficulty in finding particular shops and services within centres. It helps to overcome this hassle by providing location details of each shop and service such as ATMs and toilets. Once installed, customers can access it easily on their phone. It really seems to be the ultimate in customer services. No doubt, a customer’s decision where to shop just got a whole lot easier! Which Is The Best Cold Sore Prescription - Denavir Or Zovirax?

Monday, August 20th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Terry_Edwards] Terry Edwards It is estimated that over 80% of the general population has been infected with the herpes simplex virus. Of that total, about one third of these people will develop and get a cold sore. What can they do to treat it? What are the options? If you, or someone you know has had cold sores, then you know first hand just how difficult it can be to find a way to heal them. Many have tried various cold sore remedies such as using ice, putting on over-the-counter creams and many other methods without having much success. Now, over the past few years there have been two FDA approved prescription medications made available in treating a cold sore. Which one is the better choice? Denavir Cold Sore Cream Denavir is the older of the two cold sore medications, having been FDA approved in 1996. Denavir is a cream that you apply on the cold sore, or area where it is developing, every 2 hours throughout the day. This is from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed at night. It’s important to begin treating the area where the cold sore is forming, immediately. Don’t wait until it has already broken out to get started. Zovirax Cold Sore Cream Zovirax is the new kid on the block so to speak, being FDA approved in 2002. Zovirax is basically the same as Denavir except in dosage. Instead of applying every 2 hours, the instructions say to apply 5 times per day for 4 days total. Like Denavir, you should apply Zovirax immediately upon signs that a cold sore is beginning to develop. Which Is Best - Denavir Or Zovirax? Although everyone has their own opinion, and your doctor will know the right choice for your particular case, in the studies that have been done, the choice is pretty clear. Denavir was named the prescription cold sore medication of choice. Keep in mind that while both creams will work, nothing will permanently cure the herpes virus. Even though you will get rid of a cold sore much quicker, the virus remains in your body forever, just waiting for a time to try and break out again. But, with the advent of these newer prescription medications, at least you know there are ways to quickly heal any new cold sores that may try and develop in the future. The Queensland Employee Relations Environment Context

Monday, August 20th, 2007

By Philip Lye For many Australians, both employers and employees, the workplace continues to be a place of harmony where each goes to work discharges their individual responsibilities and continues to get on with life. This is confirmed by government statistics that suggest that 1,000 people per week are migrating to Queensland, Australia to live. The attraction is lifestyle; affordable property and housing, progressive government development and support for new business initiatives and low unemployment. In addition there are a large proportion of immigrants coming to our shores from the United Kingdom, South Africa and New Zealand to name a few. Sadly amongst this good news there are some concerns amongst employers and employees alike. Over the last 10 years with out-placing, downsizing, outsourcing, redundancies, and other interesting forms of industrial justification for off-loading employees, the workplace has been experienced as difficult and for some a house of pain. However, the industrial relations environment in Queensland and Australia continues to evolve in response to business concerns, community expectations and continuing pressure on the government to ensure that unemployment is kept low with the additional concern of the Commonwealth Government on the continuing drain on the welfare system. There continues to be some pessimism by employers about the economy and a lack of trust which has seen a delay in employing more full-time workers especially in the small to medium enterprise sector. This is confirmed by research which suggests that the particiaption of casual and contract employment has increased markedly However, Queensland has made some large inroads into creating an environment conducive to small business growth. Because of the reducing birth rate in Australia it is estimated that by 2010 the percentage of employees aged between 45 and 60 years of age will be 65%. Many industries are not presently equipped to cope with this radical change in age demographics and it is now time for industry and government to work together preparing the way ahead. Recent studies have belied the myth in respect to older workers and concluded that mature workers are productive, however, there still continues to be muddied perceptions about age related workers (Productivity of Mature and Older Workers: Employers Attitudes and Experience ACIRRT 1996). Grey power will increasingly become more important as enterprises endeavour to stay ahead of the pack and retain mature aged workers who have skills, experience and competencies to contribute to industry and business. The industrial relations arena continues to be highly regulated and subject to many acts. These include, Common Law Australian & State Industrial Relations Acts/Regulations Workplace Relations Act 1996 Federal Workplace Health & Safety Acts Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Act 1986 Trade Practices Act 1974 section 53B Income Tax Assessment Act 1936 & other Tax Legislation A move towards Awards State & Federal Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) Australian Workplace Agreements Increased workplace mediation before legal action We are making progress in employer / employee relationship there are many enterprises and employees who continue their day to day businesses without having experienced these concerns. Employers can take measures that increase their understanding and educate employees to understand their rights and responsibilities and thereby protect themselves for various workplace issues. Creative Marketing with Postcards

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

By Larry Baltz Yes, youre right, theres nothing new or creative about a postcard. But how about being unique in the way you use them? Most business owners dont use postcards as a marketing tool and those that do, use them infrequently and haphazardly, with no strategy involved. However, postcards are so cost-effective they can be a high-frequency weapon. And because they are 6 times more likely to be read that a direct mail letter, they are also a high-impact weapon. A high-frequency and high-impact weapon is one that will be extremely effective in the marketplace. Best of all, postcards have a high recall by recipients for two reasons: The use of color or a picture provides a visual that is easily remembered Postcards are intimate by nature and are much more personal The real power of a postcard though is repeatability. One side of the card is your billboard. Ideally you want to print a headline that screams value the single most important benefit you provide your prospects. Adding a photo and some color with the headline is also important. The other side can contain a message specific to an individual mailing. And you can also add a handwritten message, signature, and address to personalize your mailing. And every time you mail a postcard, your prospect sees your value statement. A scheduled campaign is the next step. Mail one every two weeks for two months. Or mail one a month for six months. Postcards work well in tandem with other marketing weapons like e-mails, telephone calls, and personal visits. Establish a frequency that fits your product and your offer and stick with it. Youll be top-of-mind in your prospects eyes for very little money. An effective postcard marketing strategy: state your value; repeat it; repeat it again; keep doing it. Its pretty simple. Make Your Business Work For You

Friday, August 17th, 2007

By David Amerland When it comes to getting mileage out of a sentence few things beat a clich and it gets even better when the clich also comes from an old saying. Now we all know that Theres more than one way to skin a cat but apply that to the net and it begins to get a little blurry. What exactly do you mean? How would you apply it? And will there be any virtual cats involved? Are just three questions which immediately spring to mind and if they do then the mind in question is not engaged in what it should really be doing which is deciphering the multi-layered, time-honoured, lingo-coded message you imparted when you first used the phrase. Its very much the same when having a web site (or a magazine, or a newspaper, or a company brochure). Far too often online content communication is fudged, overloaded with clichs, burdened with supporting words which do nothing to enhance the content of your site or the perceived quality of your products and services. Here are some easy examples: An unforgettable destination for your holiday (from a travel website), Our products are designed by experts from a leisure shoe manufacturer or, my favourite from the opening line on the homepage of a large fashion site There are a lovely selection of gifts up for grabs from XXX’s charming shops in Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon and avaliable online. The reasons these dont work is simple: surfing experience. The easiest mistake everyone makes on the net is to forget that online while visitors may be looking for a product that does not mean that they have decided that online purchases have stopped reflecting upon themselves as consumers. Walk into any High Street shop and what do you see? Artful displays and subliminal messages everywhere: Buy this vase and your living room will look cool. Purchase this holiday and youre going to have the most relaxing experience of your life. Buy this pair of jeans and you will become irresistible to every member of the opposite sex. Shoppers dont just buy goods because goods, these days, are commodities. One pair of jeans is just as good as another. One vase is similar to a million others. One packaged holiday destination is much like another. What makes shoppers shop and more importantly what keeps them coming back is differentiation. The fact that shops work so hard to create an ambience that projects a particular image. Cool, aspirational, trustworthy, trendy, cutting-edgewhatever. The point is that the moment you have successfully differentiated yourself from your competitors you have won two things: 1. Loyal customers and 2. The right to charge a little bit more. Its no different online. Those who come with the express aim to buy your product or service could not really care less if you sold it from a void directly connected to the sub-molecular dimension hidden inside the event horizon of a black hole. They want it. They will buy it! (Which is how Ticketmaster [www.ticketmaster.com] works so well with a basic site and simple design). The rest of your online population however needs to be convinced, pampered, impressed before they decide to whip out their credit card and click on what youre selling. This is where design and content come in. The website you run doesnt just have to be unique (you could colour it all brown and itll do that trick), it has to subliminally sell your service or product as well as you do. It has to engender trust and win sales. And to do that it has to stop the eye and engage the mind. Which neatly brings us to the examples I used earlier and the waste of just putting clichd copy on a website. Every holiday we take is intended to be an unforgettable destination even if its to Costa Del Sol. I dont know of anyone who starts planning their holiday with the express intention of making it a forgettable destination. I personally should hope that the leisure shoes I buy have not been designed by some guy who works at McDonalds and spelling mistake apart (why or why didnt they run a spell-check first?) the last of the examples does not even tell me what the website does, what the gifts are or why I should stay there more than a nanosecond. Newspaper and magazine editors who have to work hard to retain their readers know that content readers read works only if there is a payoff. The reader has gained a fresh insight, learnt something new, had their interest piqued by the slant of the articles, or discovered a new way to do something. Because print is such an old way of getting a message across readers (and editors) understand what the dynamics of the game between them really are. Editors know what the readers need and readers have a right to expect this implied content-delivery contract between themselves and the publications they read. The web is new. Because its new it tends to blind those who run websites to the dynamics between visitors and the website they visit. What visitors really need is the payoff. They need access to sound, lively, informative copy that makes them feel that their invested time has given them something back. They want a website thats pleasing to the eye, reflective of the image they have of themselves and their lifestyle values and easy to navigate. Give them that andwell, youre onto the path to Nirvana, because what youre then doing is what study after study tells us is nearly impossible to do online: you are creating loyal, repeat custom that keeps coming back drawn by more than just the price tag. Skinning cats thankfully fell out of fashion some time ago and while there may be a myriad ways to present information: print, web, emailshot, company brochure, snail mail, leaflets, flyers, carrier pigeons and old-fashioned bricks (with paper and string attached) the fundamentals will always be the same: the reader (or online visitor) have to feel that they got something back. That you gave it to them and that they now trust you and youre cool. If the payoff is not there, then no amount of skinning is going to create a website that really works the way its supposed to.
